Six wars have left their scars across Caemothas, from the celestial realms to shattered mountains, the depths of the sea—and the islands above the clouds.

I’ve been working on these histories, exploring what drove each conflict, how it ended, and what the people who survived inherited.

The Eclipse Epoch
When the first guardians of Caemothas turned against one another, an ancient hunger exploited their divisions. Five heroes remembered only by their titles helped change the outcome at the Apotheosis Convergence. The world survived, but its wounds—and its prisoners—remain.

The Conflict of Stone and Scale
Nearly a thousand years of war between giants and dragons reshaped the land. Bringing it to an end meant accepting an oath neither side could mistake for forgiveness.

The Ethereal Strife
Celestial champions and infernal generals fought across mortal kingdoms for seventy-five centuries. How do you end a war when its greatest powers can afford to fight forever?

The Great Abyssal War
The peoples of the depths rose against the Aboleth Empire and its enslaving Mindscape. Generations fought for freedom, but even their sacrifices could not break the empire completely.

The Fall of the Aboleth Empire
Seven centuries later, cracks within the empire gave its captives another chance. Liberation meant reaching people whose own minds had been turned against their freedom—and deciding what came after the chains broke.

The Islebreaker War
Pirates gained the means to bring floating islands down. Falling cities and fractured alliances left the survivors with a question that would shape their next treaty: what must no war ever be allowed to destroy?

These conflicts still shape Caemothas’s borders, ruins, treaties, and inherited grudges.

The Day the Earth Wept: the night the Sorrow War began

For years, the Elemental Phalanx searched for the Child, the youngest Primordial in Caemothas. Then small elementals began vanishing too.

This is the story of how they found it, deep beneath the mountains of the Elysium Empire, and why the oldest powers in the world turned on the brightest civilization it had ever known.

He nudged it gently, the way he used to when it slept too long and missed a sunrise it had asked him to wake it for.

Nothing

My goal was to write elemental gods who grieve like a family, and to make readers feel the loss of a being that was never mortal at all. It's the origin point for the Sorrow War, the conflict that eventually births the planes of Metal, Wood, and Spirit in my world.

I'd love to hear what lands and what doesn't, especially whether the Primordials each feel distinct in how they grieve.

Content note: the death of a young being, and grief.

  • The Mythic Birds Take Flight in Caemothas!

Greetings, fellow worldbuilders and lorekeepers!

A new wind howls across the skies of Caemothas, heralding the rise of three legendary beings whose wings shaped the balance of the world itself—the Mythic Birds.

Born of primordial force and forged in the crucible of the Eclipse Epoch, these awe-inspiring creatures are not just symbols of elemental might—they are the ifirst of their kind/i, singular, world-shaping forces that leave echoes across the planes in the form of their descendants.

Ignivar, The First Flame

  • The last ember of the fallen Primordial Ignaraxis, reforged into a radiant phoenix of rebirth.
  • Wherever it flies, fire is not only feared—it is understood.
  • Ignivar, The First Flame
  • The frost-winged sentinel born from the harmony of ice and air.
  • Stillness follows its flight. Entire wars have frozen in its presence.
  • Hrímveirr, the Silent Gale

Raedrak, The Storm’s Heart

  • Lightning incarnate. Willed into being by Voryn, it judges from the skies with thunderous wrath.
  • Cities have fallen to its roar. Leylines bend in its wake.
  • Raedrak, The Storm’s Heart

Their Progeny Walk the World…

Though these three are singular in power, the world echoes their essence in the form of rare and powerful elemental beasts:

  • Phoenixs – Rare firebirds descended from the spark of Ignivar. Said to be immortal flames in winged form, they burn not only with heat, but with memory.
  • Glacivern – Crystalline ice birds born of Hrímveirr’s silent wings. They channel elemental cold and reflect spellcraft like living mirrors.
  • Thunderbirds – Storm-charged raptors that crackle with Raedrak’s wrath. Their screeches herald skyfire and calamity.

Each species is a myth made manifest—an echo of a time when elementals were more than beasts… they were legends.

From mountaintops to the upper skies, from sacred storms to deep glacial vaults, their presence reshapes the balance of Caemothas.

Let me know which mythic being you'd seek out, bond with... or flee from.

Stay tuned for their canine counterparts—Tremorgrowl, Zephyros, and Abyrion—as the balance of the world howls back.

Caemothas is Alive – New Tectonic & Ley Line Maps!

After a lot of work, I’ve finally finished two major layers of the world map:

Tectonic Plate Maps – Showing oceanic and continental plates, including fault types and microplates.

Ley Line Overlay – Highlighting the world’s magical energy network, with glowing paths for healthy and scarred ley lines.

These maps shape the geography, magic, and even the history of Caemothas—tying into volcanoes, arcane nexuses, and lost civilizations.
